My name is Karolina Rusak, born 2002 in Warsaw, Poland, where I have been trained in classical painting and drawing at Atelier Foksal. In 2025 I have graduated a bachelor study of Interactive Media Design at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague (KABK) with the “Katabasis” project and my bachelor thesis “An Intermission”, which has been featured in the Matter does Matter exhibition.
I am a passionate illustrator, sculptor and an interdisciplinary designer focused on accessories, graphics and textiles which all have hidden tales to tell. I create a varied body of work, from commercial technical design to conceptual fine art, all with a meticulous attention to detail. My visual identity brings together playful whimsicality and more demure, gothic tones.
As a storyteller I focus on creative solutions to conveying a message through the most suitable mediums. Consequently I have experience in various programmes, crafts and techniques which I weave together for the best final effect, to mine and the client’s satisfaction.
