Faith driven designs in Spring 2023 collection draw inspiration from ritualistic components of 15th century necromantic traditions found in the Munich Manuscript of Demonic Magic. Aloes, ambergris, myrrh, white frankincense – motifs embedded into pre-established forms, which can be found in the handbook. The two basic patterns are for the Mirror of Floron and First Mirror of Lilith.
Research continues, seeking answers on what is the perfect mirror for communicating with otherworldly forces. Experimenting with different types of surface occlusion and various materials, from hammering aluminium, steel or silver, to using the camera lens, effects and filters acting as a veil between our planem and the other side of the reflection. Redefining the mirror, and everything that can be used as one, back into a mystical artefact.
Collection provides different variations of frame formats, which act as catalysts for divination, soaked in trusting intention of the maker. Crafted with deep rooted care and precision they connect modern techniques, like laser cutting, with 600 year old symbols inspired by a mix of ancient mythologies, strongly based on Key of Solomon and late medieval christian influences.
